My First Post :) 1960's Crown Essex Tea
Well its my first post and to start with I'd like to say thanks for taking the time to look at my blog and I hope you enjoy my posts and pictures of retro and vintage crockery, teapots, coffee pots and lots more!
Today I'd like to share with you a very recent addition to a family crockery collection. It is a circa 1960's Crown Essex Tea Set adorned with the 'Richmond Rose' pattern which can be seen best on the side of the milk jug and sugar bowl in this picture;
Here in this next picture we can see the whole set of six cups, saucers and plates along with the sugar bowl
This picture nicely shows an overall sense of the aesthetics of the set as you can see each piece has a large yellow and red rose design on its side.
Here is an image of the underside of one of the cups showing the makers stamp which reads 'Richmond Rose' 'Crown Essex' then underneath it says Stafford shire England, English Bone China. Patt no:8368.
In this last picture you can see the lovely pattern on the cups, saucers and plates. I hope you've enjoyed this brief first installment of crockery and I hope you'll visit again :)
